They are currently looking for a project engineer corrosion.
As a corrosion engineer, you will carry out damage investigations as well as damage mechanism reviews and risk-based inspection projects.
- When performing a damage investigation, you will go to great lengths to resolve the damage case. You arrive at a correct assessment of the root cause and formulate recommendations for the future. For this, you carry out various investigations (e.g. metallographic research, SEM-EDX analysis, etc.) in the lab and write a report for the client. You will work on a wide variety of cases from different industrial sectors. This makes you the crucial link for clients in preventing future damage cases.
- In a risk-based inspection (RBI) project, you identify and catalog the damage mechanisms during the project's damage mechanism review (DMR). By identifying the plant's potential failure mechanisms, you provide your clients with essential knowledge about the plant's integrity. You determine the risks for the different parts of the installation and prepare detailed inspection plans for the client.
The projects are always a team process where the corrosion engineers interact with the client's maintenance, process and inspection experts. The aim is to gather all the relevant information needed for the study.
- You have a Master's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in the field of materials, chemistry, chemical engineering techniques or related
- Knowledge and experience in corrosion/damage investigation/inspections and RBI are a plus
- You have keen analytical skills and are able to grasp complex problems. You approach problems with an open and critical eye, enabling you to formulate in-depth and effective solutions.
- You work meticulously and precisely, with an eye for detail. Whether performing laboratory research or preparing reports, you ensure that your work is accurate and reliable.
- You see what needs to be done and pick it up with enthusiasm. You are proactive in identifying problems and coming up with solutions.
- You can communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. You communicate fluently with colleagues and customers.
- You have a good knowledge of English, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
